In January 2023 I took a hand-building ceramics class. Thinking that it would be a brief non-digital creative outlet… and quickly fell head over heels for fired arts, fancy mud, and the community that comes along with it. When most people think ceramics, they think the pottery wheel (and the movie Ghost). However, the endless possibilities that hand-building sculpture offers are what keep me constantly excited to start my next project.
